REASON8 Films is a London based international sales and production company. The company was formed in Autumn 2015 and took over most of the affairs of AV Pictures that stopped trading. REASON8 represents films from around the world with a focus on auteur-driven arthouse and genre films.

REASON8's films regularly play and win awards at the major international film festivals and are released at multiple territories through the company's long-established distribution network.

Over more than two decades in film industry REASON8 founders developed extensive industry relationships and accumulated profound expertise in film project development, financing, production, sales and distribution.

The company works closely with established and emerging international filmmakers adding value in its capacity of a sales agent, production partner and/or an executive producer.

Co-Founders

Anna Krupnova

Having worked with American producers in Chicago, Anna moved to London in 2005 and joined AV Pictures, a London based film sales agent. She started as Head of Development, and was shortly promoted to Head of Sales green lightning sales acquisitions of the company and being responsible for worldwide sales of such commercially successful projects like Black Water, The Tournament, Vampire Killers and The Liability. Anna has consulted on a few multinational film productions and is often invited to take part in various film production and sales panels.

Denis Krupnov

Starting in Lions Gate in the US in 2003 and then working with American producers, Denis moved to London in 2005 to work in film finance and subsequently joined Caparo Group in 2006 where he was in charge of venture capital investments and media assets that included a film sales agent AV Pictures, a distribution company Cinescope Entertainment, and a Sky TV channel Film24. While at Caparo Denis structured financing for several films, sat on the board of the companies, advised on strategy and business development and was head of strategy at Film24 leading its market repositioning. Denis holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
