I have always liked stories that speculate about the future because they are a way of exploring our place in the world and, in this case, our relationship with technology. I wanted to tell the story of the encounter between these three people in very particular circumstances at a time when AI threatens to replace us and forces us to rethink the essence of what it means to be human. Are we replaceable? Will our human uniqueness be necessary in an increasingly technological world? Will perhaps anyone miss our capacity for repeated error?
